Game clock
A chess-style clock for long tabletop games, for 2 to 4 players. Only the player whose turn it is loses time, and a round timer is there for club nights and events.
Only the player whose turn it is loses time. Tap your own panel, or press the space bar, when your turn ends. The next player's clock starts straight away. Your game is saved on this device, so a refresh will not lose it.
One countdown for the whole table, for a timed round at a club night or an event. When it reaches zero the panel changes quietly and says Time.

How to use the player clock
Choose 2, 3 or 4 players, type their names and set the minutes each person gets. You can also add a few seconds to a player's time after every turn they take (an increment), so nobody is rushed at the end of a long game. Tap the panel of whoever goes first and their clock starts. When your turn ends, tap your own panel, or press the space bar on a computer, and the next player's clock starts.
Pause stops every clock for a rules check or a snack, and Resume carries on. Reset puts everyone back to their starting time. If someone runs out, their panel says Out of time and the clock stops; tap the next player to carry on without them.
Big screen on a phone
Press Big screen and the clock fills the screen with huge numbers, easy to read from across the table. With two players and a phone held upright, the top half turns round to face the player opposite, so you can lay the phone flat between you. Where your browser allows it, the screen is kept awake while the clock runs. If it cannot, the clock says so, and turning off auto-lock in your phone's settings does the same job.
The round timer
For a timed round at a club night, a league or an event, switch to Round timer, set the minutes and press Start. It counts down for the whole table, and when it reaches zero the panel changes quietly and says Time, with no alarm.
How it works
Each player has a bank of time. While it is your turn your bank goes down. The moment you pass, what you used is taken off, any added seconds go on, and the next player's bank starts going down. Under ten seconds the display shows tenths, and it rounds up, so 0:00 only shows when the time has truly gone. The game is saved on this device, so a refresh does not lose it, and the link in your address bar holds your settings, so you can send it to the rest of the group.

Questions and answers
How does a chess clock work for more than two players?
The same way as for two. Each player has their own time, and only the clock of the player whose turn it is runs. When they finish they tap, and the clock passes to the next player in order. This one handles up to four.
What is a time increment?
Extra seconds added to your time after each turn you take. With 60 minutes each and 10 seconds a turn, a player who takes 40 turns gets 6 minutes 40 seconds more over the game, so long games do not end in a rush.
Will my phone screen stay on?
In most up-to-date browsers, yes, while the clock runs or Big screen is on. If your browser cannot keep it awake, the clock tells you, and you can turn off auto-lock in your phone settings for the game.
Can I use it for a timed round at an event?
Yes. Switch to Round timer, set the minutes and press Start. Everyone at the table can see it, and it changes quietly when the time is up.
