DnD Christmas gifts and other gifts for tabletop gamers

Christmas gifts for tabletop gamers start with what they play

This page is for people who play at a table, not on a screen, and that still covers a lot of tables. Someone who paints an army for tabletop wargames, someone who runs a roleplaying campaign on a Friday night and someone who brings a new board game to every family Christmas all want different things. Work out which table they sit at, then use the right section below. If you can’t tell, one present fits all three: a print of something they made, whether that is a painted figure, a character they drew or the map from their campaign.

Warhammer Christmas gifts for the painter and wargamer

Paint and brushes are personal, so a boxed set is a guess unless you can read the empty pots on their desk. What painters rarely have is their best model printed at a size that hangs. Ask which figure they would pick, photograph it in soft light against plain card, and have it printed on canvas or as a framed print. Players of games such as Warhammer often have a whole army that never leaves its foam tray; a photograph of the force set up on the table suits a larger canvas. Warhammer gifts goes further, sorted by painter, player and collector.

DnD Christmas gifts for players and game masters

Roleplayers live with a character for months. A portrait of that character, drawn by them or a friend, or a photo of the miniature that stands in for them at the table, makes a poster or a mug that comes to every session. Game masters spend evenings on maps and handouts, and a hand-drawn campaign map printed on a wood panel looks as if it came from the world itself. For players of Dungeons & Dragons and similar games, DnD gifts sorts ideas by seat at the table, and the free fantasy name generator is there for the next character.

For the board gamer

Board gamers tend to own the games they want and have firm views on the ones they don’t, so a new box is a gamble. A print of a photo from a game night everyone still talks about, or a mug for the table, avoids the guess and still says you were paying attention. Gifts for board game lovers has more ideas.

Stocking stuffers for tabletop gamers

The smaller formats fit a stocking: an 11 oz mug or a 17 fl oz water bottle with their figure or character on it, an 8.3 x 11.7 in (A4) art print, or a digital download they can print anywhere. A digital file is emailed, so nothing has to ship. Every price is on the shop page, with shipping added at checkout.

Secret Santa gifts for gamers

A Secret Santa comes with a spending limit, so start from the lowest-priced formats. Those are the 11 oz mug, the digital download, the white T-shirt, the 8 x 10 in art print and the tote bag. Each product page shows its current price. For anything that ships, add the shipping that checkout works out for your address, then compare the total with the limit. A download has no shipping, but they print it themselves. You still need a picture that is theirs, so ask a friend from their table for a photo of a figure they painted or of their character art. Secret Santa ideas has more for a fixed budget.

Christmas order timing

Everything is made to order and then shipped, so the wait is production plus shipping. Posters, framed prints, canvas and framed canvas usually arrive within 5 business days with standard shipping in the contiguous US. For the other products we don’t give a delivery time. Checkout shows the standard and, where available, expedited shipping options for your address before you pay. We will add firm order-by dates here once our production partner publishes its US Christmas deadlines. A digital download is emailed once the file is ready, so it can be ordered later. If the photograph still has to be taken or sent to you, allow for that as well.

Getting the photo without spoiling the surprise

You need the original file, not a screenshot of a post. “Send me that photo of the one you finished last month” is an ordinary request and gives nothing away. Ask their permission to print the work, even if you keep the occasion a secret. If you are taking the picture yourself, miniature photography covers the light and focus that make a print hold up.

What we print, and what we don’t

We print the photo or artwork you upload as a art print, framed print, canvas, framed canvas, metal, wood or acrylic panel, mug, water bottle, tote bag, T-shirt, hoodie or digital file. We don’t sell games, models, paint, dice or merchandise, and nothing we make carries a game’s name, logo or artwork. Direct printing uses the picture unchanged; the optional scene studio places a painted figure in a new setting, with a free watermarked preview before you pay.
