A black Gildan 18500 unisex pullover hoodie in S, M, L, XL or 2XL, with your image printed on the front. Bring a photo of your own painted army, a favorite miniature, or your original artwork. The print area is approximately 12 × 12 inches above the front pocket; the back and sleeves are unprinted.

Planning hoodies for your club or gaming group
Every hoodie carries one image on the front. A gaming group can each pick a figure from their own army, or all go with the same painted mascot. Agree on the backdrop first: if everyone shoots on black card, the hoodies look like a set even with different figures on them.
What fills a square
The print area above the pocket is square, so the subject should be too. A standard bearer with the banner up, a monster’s head and shoulders, or a hero on a round base fills it well. A long line of troops doesn’t; on a square it shrinks to a thin strip.
Colors that hold up on black
Yellows, oranges, reds, bright blues and glowing effects carry well against black cotton blend. Dark green, navy and black-lined armor need lifting in your editor, or they’ll merge with the fabric. If your army is mostly dark, the white T-shirt is the easier choice.
The hoodie, and how to wash it
The 18500 is from Gildan’s Heavy Blend range, with a double-lined hood, a drawcord in the same color, a pouch pocket and 1x1 rib with spandex for stretch. Wash it the way Gildan recommends for its garments: on its own before the first wear, then inside out with like colors at 86°F (30°C) or cooler. Skip chlorine bleach (oxygen bleach is fine), tumble dry on low, and don’t iron or dry clean. Check the label instructions on the garment as well.
How a painted figure prints on a black hoodie
On black fabric a dark background disappears, so shoot the figure on black card and let the paintwork stand out. Bright, saturated schemes read best; very dark armor can sink into the fabric, so lift it a little in your file first.
